About

Hello and welcome!

I am Barb Giamanco. Since this is the About page, I guess you should tell you about my background. What you should know is that I am an experienced sales and social media strategist and consultant, speaker and author who has a proven, 30-year track record in generating sales. I capped a corporate career at Microsoft, where I led sales teams and coached executives. Throughout my sales career, I have sold $1B in products and services. Believe me, I understand what it’s like living life by a sales quota!

Today, when not out hiking with my dogs, I run Talent Builders, Inc. a sales performance consulting business I founded in 2002.  Known as a sales transformer, top sales teams hire me to help them leverage new media to explode sales performance. Want to shrink your sales cycle, reach new customers in new markets and spend more time with the right buyers? Using a strategic approach that aligns the right social tools with your sales objectives, you can achieve these things and more! A sought after speaker, I have had the pleasure of keynoting executive events and have facilitated programs with thousands of executives who consistently rate me as “exceeding their expectations”.

You’ll recognize a few of my clients, such as Georgia Pacific, Microsoft,Executive Forums,GE Healthcare, MD&E, Payne Quest, Pepsico, University of Georgia, UPS Capital Insurance Agency and Wrigley Manufacturing.

I’m very excited to announce that my new book, “The New Handshake: Sales Meets Social Media”, from ABC-CLIO in Santa Barbara, California published under its Praeger Imprint, hits the shelves in August 2010. Pre-order now on Amazon.com. Need more help getting clients? I’m a certified Get Clients Now!™ facilitator and would love to show you how. As an Inscape Certified DiSC® Trainer and trained coach through the Coaches Training Institute, I’ll help your teams uncover hidden barriers to their sales success.

As an active member of the business community, I serve as the Atlanta Chapter President of Sales Marketing Executives International (SMEI) and on the 2010 Advisory Board of Atlanta Women in Business. Recently, I was the recipient of the Atlanta Women in Business “Results Count” award, which is quite an honor. In 2008, I served as the Diversity Director for the SHRM Georgia State Council and during 2008-2009, I also served on the Board of Directors for the Workplace Learning Society for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).
